Kathy Hochul is an American attorney who currently serves as the deputy governor of New York City. Before taking up this position, she was the US representative in New York from 2011-2013. She was also elected the first Democrat in this district in 40 years. Kathy was an Erie County Clerk from 2007 to 2011. Previously, she was a member of Hamburg, a practicing lawyer, and a legislative advisor.
In addition to all
these positions, she has also worked as a Government Relations Officer.
Following Cuomo's resignation, Democrat Kathy took over as New York's first
female governor and said to end the "distraction." Kathy succeeded
Andrew Cuomo and won the primaries for the nomination to the governor of New York
from the Democratic Party.

Kathy was born on August 27, 1958, and raised in Buffalo, New
York. He is the second of six children in his family. Her parents were John P.
Courtney and Pat Courtney. Her father was also called "Jack" and was an
office worker while her mother was a housewife. Her family had to deal with the
financial crisis. In her early years, she had to face these crises while living
in a trailer near a steel mill. Before Hochul attended college, her father
joined the IT company he later headed.
Kathy began her political career while studying at Syracuse
University. During her studies, she participated in many events for the
well-being of students. She had to lead a boycott of the bookstore to raise
prices. In the student newspaper, The Daily Orange, she received an
"A" grade, citing changes made during her studies. She received a
bachelor's degree from college from Syracuse University in 1980. Later, in
1984, she obtained a Ph.D. from the Catholic University of Columbus School of
Law.
Shortly after graduating from law school, Kathy Hochul joined a
law firm in Washington but soon felt dissatisfied with the work presented
there. She then worked as a solicitor and legislative assistant to John LaFalce
(US representative) and Daniel Moynihan (US senator), and later in the New York
State Assembly before officially running for elected office. In her political
career, in her early years, she became involved in local affairs. In 1994, she
was elected a candidate for the Democratic and Conservative Party in Hamburg.
During this position, she served on the board of directors for almost 13 years,
until 2007. While in this position, she made many efforts to remove toll
plazas.
In May 2003, Kathy Hochul was appointed as Deputy Erie County Clerk
David Swarts. And when Swarts left office in 2007, Governor Eliot Spitzer
appointed her to the position. In her speech, Kathy Hochul objected to
Spitzer's decision to allow undocumented immigrants to apply for a driver's
license without obtaining a Social Security card. Later in 2007, she was
elected to fill the remainder of Swart's term of office. She was re-elected to
four voting lines, including the Labor Families, Independence, Democrats, and
Conservatives. She received 80 percent of the vote and won the position by
defeating Republican Clifton Bergfeld.
Recently in August 2021, Kathy took the center stage. Kathy took
responsibility for handling the case of Governor Andrew Cuomo, who was
implicated in allegations of sexual harassment, and Kathy was assigned to
conduct a five-month investigation into the case. Kathy was assigned to decide
whether or not he should have resigned. The findings of the investigation were
presented in a 165-page report which found that Cuomo sexually molested 11
different women.
He harassed his current and former employees, and one of these
women responded with her claims and made statements publicly. Cuomo claimed to
harass these 11 women by engaging in unwanted and unfavorable touching. He was
also expected to make sexual comments that created a hostile environment for
employees. Inquiries have already been established regarding these allegations
where Cuomo had words to say that he had never been involved in inappropriate
or sexually touching anyone.
Kathy had a relationship with William Hochul, a former US
prosecutor in - New York West District. They currently live in Buffalo, New York,
and have two children together.
Kathy Hochul's base salary is assumed to be $ 151,500 per year,
