Pastor John Gray was born on June 26, 1973, in
Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, and in 2022 he is 49 years old, living happily with his
wife and two children – a daughter and a son. Gray was born to his loving and
caring parents named Margery Naper and Hugh Gray. However, his parents
separated when Gray was only 4 years old and he was lucky enough to meet his
father after the separation about 2-3 times growing up.
Gray worked as the host of the TV show John
Gray World and also appeared on Fox's The Preachers. Before landing the job of a pastor, he began his career singing as a backing vocalist for Kirk Franklin in
the 1990s. Gray also worked as an associate pastor at Osteen's Lakewood Church
in Houston earlier to going to Greenville. He also worked in the television series
"The Book of John Gray" and its fourth season on the Oprah Winfrey
network. Although he worked in television, pastoring, and singing work, he also
became the author of two books called The Book of John Gray and Win from
inside.
Pastor Gray used international platforms to
discuss his situation and fight diabetes and self-esteem. In the midst of the
situation, Gray lost interest in losing weight and changing his lifestyle, until
his wife told him he was being selfish. On Thursday night, July 7, 2022, Gray's
wife took to Instagram and informed fans that her only husband was going
through a life-threatening pulmonary embolism. The wife, Aventer Gray, told the
family that she should stand by her only husband in times of need. Pulmonary
embolism is one of the few diseases that cause life-threatening blockage of
the arteries going to the lungs.

Aventer Gray and the couple produced two children, a daughter named Theory
Aspyn-Sky Gray and a son named John W. Gray IV. Gray's wife currently serves as
co-pastor alongside her husband in Greenville, SC, and also serves as the other
COO of "John Gray Ministries". She is like a force behind the Lakewood
Church body of work and served as the “person behind the regular speaker” for
the church led by Joel Osteen in Houston, TX.
Pastor John Gray and his wife appeared on the
most-watched and popular TV show 'The Real', where the couple shared an emotional
affair and spoke of an alleged affair between 'the man of God and an unnamed
woman. The woman claimed the pastor tried to turn the 20-year friendship into
something inappropriate. Since then, Gray has re-addressed the matter and said
he never physically cheated on his wife for another woman. In June 2022 Pastor
Gray was again accused of cheating on his wife with another woman and the
controversy was exposed by YouTube personality Tasha K.
Tasha K posted a video that showed the
pastor's personal conversation with the woman claiming he had a relationship
with her and she also called the religious leader's mistress. The vlogger
explained that the pastor was allegedly involved in virtual sessions with the
woman and tried to maintain a month-long relationship with her. She also
claimed that the woman tried to virtually please the pastor and used to have
phone calls with him. But, in turn, she never received material possession. The
alleged mistress was displeased.
On the other hand, another YouTube personality,
Larry Reid, stepped in and clarified the situation and the alleged relationship
between the woman and the pastor. The allegations came after three years when
Gray appeared on The Real and spoke about cheating on his wife. In 2019, he
made headlines when he spoke about the "strange woman" who tried to
establish a relationship with the pastor and the pastor told him he had never
physically cheated on his wife.
Pastor John Gray is believed to own a house
bought from him by the Southampton Community Church in Simpsonville that is
worth $1.8 million. Church leaders said the house was necessary for the leader
to attract the caliber. The house is located approximately 10 miles from the
Relentless Church. Gray is believed to have a net worth of around $5 million by
holding different professions.
