Steve Bannon was born on November 27, 1953, making him 69
years from 2022. He grew up in Norfolk, Virginia with parents named Doris (née
Herr), who was a housewife, and Martin J. Bannon Jr. (father) who worked as an
AT&T caller on duty and as a middle manager. He belonged of Irish and
German descent. Most of the maternal family members settled in the Baltimore
area. Bannon went to a private military Catholic high school called Benedictine
College Preparatory in 1971 and later went to Virginia Tech.
He was honored to be the president of the student government.
In summer he worked in the local scrap yard. Bannon went to Virginia Tech
College of Architecture and Urban Studies in 1976 and obtained a degree in town
planning. He served several years in the Navy and earned his MA in National
Security in 1983 from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. In
1985 he obtained another Master's degree in Business Administration with honors
from Harvard Business School.
Bannon served as an officer for the first 7 years from 1970
to 1980 in the United States Navy. After serving in the military, he worked for
Goldman Sachs as an investment banker for two years. In 1993 he was acting as
acting director of the research project Biosphere 2. From 1991 to 2016, he worked
as an executive producer in Hollywood and worked on 18 film projects. Later in
2007, he co-founded a website called Breitbart News, which he described as a
platform for the "alt-right" in 2016. In 2016, Bannon became CEO of
Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
After the elections, he was appointed chief strategist and
senior advisor to the president. He worked in this position for a total of 8
months before quitting his job and rejoining his own Breitbart website. In
January 2018, Steve Bannon was ousted by Trump after giving critically
acclaimed comments in his book Fire and Fury and leaving Breitbard. In August
2020, Bannon and his three other comrades were arrested on suspicion of
conspiracy and mail fraud or money laundering in connection with the 'we build
the wall' campaign. Bannon was found innocent and was later pardoned by
then-President Donald Trump before his trial in court.
Steve Bannon got married three times in his life and later
divorced all the women who came into his life. He first married a woman named
Cathleen Suzanne Houff and fathered a daughter named Maureen in 1988, and later
divorced. He then married a second time to Mary Louise Piccard, who was an
investment banker at the time. The couple exchanged marriage rituals in April
1995. After 3 days after the wedding, Piccard gave birth to twin daughters. In 1997,
Piccard filed for the dissolution of their marriage.
She drafted changes to Bannon in the categories of domestic
violence, beatings, and domestic violence, after which the court ruled
"dissuading the witness's case" in early January 1996. At the time,
police reported that when Piccard called 911 and when police arrived at her
home address, they noticed marks on her wrist and neck. But all Piccard's
charges were dropped after she failed to appear in court. Subsequently, Bannon
had her third marriage to Diane Clohesy in 2006 and the couple later divorced
in 2009.
