Jaime Camil is an American figure who was born in Mexico and goes by the full name Jaime Federico Said Camil de Saldanha da Gama. He is a vocalist, actor, TV host, musician, and singer. He is most recognized for his parts in the television series Jane the Virgin and La Fea Más Bella, which led to nominations for best supporting actor in a comedy series at the Critics' Choice Television Awards.

On July 22, 1973, Jaime Camil was born in Mexico City. His father's name is Jaime Camil Garza who is a businessman and his mother is Cecilia Saldanha da Gama, a Brazilian singer. Jaime holds a BA in Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac. He also studied acting in New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico, and later trained in opera in Italy. Camil is the brother of two half-siblings and three half-siblings. He has an older half-sister Isabela Camil who is an actress as well as a model and continues her extensive career in Latin American countries including Mexico.

in 1993 and began working as a radio commentator on Radioactive 98.5. He has

Show in 2009 and 2010.
In 1999, Camil
released his first album "Para Estar Contigo" which made him travel
to various cities in Mexico, South America, and the United States. He
participated in El Ultimo Adios (Last Farewell), a program paying tribute to
the victims of September 11. He then released his second album titled Una Vez
más in 2002 and other singles albums such as Dime and Muriendo port (together
the singles rose to fame and reached billboard numbers as # 17 and # 24).
Camil started working
on television in 2000 when he first worked for Mi destino eres tú (2000) and
later worked for another program called Mujer de Madera (2004). This particular
movie in 2004 finally caught Jaime Camil's attention and became the romantic
soap opera La fea más Bella (2006-2007). His interpretation of Don Fernando
Mendiola earned him nominations for Best Actor in Premios TVyNovelas. He also
worked for another soap opera called "Las tontas no van al Cielo"
(2009), where he worked with Jacqueline Bracamontes. His next soap opera was
called Los Exitosos Pérez (2009–2010), in which he played twins and which was
in fact an Argentine-Mexican co-production and took him to South America.
Jaime is a happily
married man with his little extended family sharing time between Los Angeles
and Mexico City. His wife's name is Heidi Balvanera, and she worked as a model.
Both partners raised two children after their marriage, and their names are
Jaime (III) and Elena Camil.
