American quarterback Patrick Mahomes real name Patrick Lavon Mahomes II competes in football for the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). His father, Pat Mahomes, was a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). After the second year, he retired from baseball to focus and pursue a football career. In his junior year, he led NCAA Division I FBS players in several categories including passes (5,052) and total touchdowns (53).
