Sabrina Ionescu is a professional American basketball player who plays for the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Before that, she played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks. He is an award-winning personality who has earned his reputation as the all-time leader of the NCAA in a triple-double career. Although she started her career in the WNBA, she grew up to be an outstanding national player. Sabrina Ionescu was born on December 6, 1997, in Walnut Creek, California to Romanian-American parents. Her father's name is Dan Ionescu, who fled communist Romania during the 1989 revolution. Liliana Blaj, her father's wife at the time, lived separately from her only husband. During the revolution, Dan thought his wife at the time would join him in the United States after a few months, but she was unable to move to the United States until 1995. During this time, Dan moved to Northern California and settled in his own limousine, in which he had several family members.
Sabrina was only three years old when she chose basketball as her spare time. She was born to her twin brother named Edward, also named Eddy, who was born just 18 minutes after Sabrina was born. Edward has also developed into a basketball player who is associated with various national teams. Sabrina had to go to high school where there was no girls' basketball team. She refused to play with the boys and was told to play with dolls instead. But since Sabrina was mature enough, she replied that she had recruited the girls and allowed the school team to play.
In December 2019, Sabrina Ionescu turned 22, thus qualifying to declare her presence in the WNBA draft. In August 2020, Sabrina injured her left ankle in the second quarter against Atlanta Dream. The next day, she was diagnosed with a Grade 3 sprain and was initially told she would rather skip a full month to recover. However, she ended up not playing the entire first professional season.
At the start of the following season in May 2021, Sabrina set a record with her first professional triple-double. During the match, she scored 26 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds, becoming the youngest player in the WNBA to go down in history with a two-three-time record.
