Elisjsha Dicken is now gaining ground with Greenwood's mayor and police chief calling him "The Good Samaritan." Overall, he's only 22, and he's the man who keeps the mass murderer Jonathan Sapirman from killing more people at the mall's food court. Dicken is hailed a hero for stopping a mass shootout. However, the shooter killed three and injured two on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana. The attacker was named Jonathan Sapriman, he was 20 years old and was shot on the spot after being observed killing other people for no reason.

Elisjsha Dicken is a Columbus native and a graduate of CSA New Tech. He was there with his girlfriend at the mall and he was holding guns according to Indiana state law, although the mall was not allowed to defend. However, all authorities now call Elisha Dicken the Good Samaritan.
In a press conference on July 18, Greenwood Police Chief James Ison described the confrontation between Dicken and thug Jonathan Superman. Ison asserted that Dicken undoubtedly saved numerous lives. Police also revealed that the shooting was monitored and that people who had moved to save their lives had also been arrested.
Boss James Ison said many people would have died that night if the responsibly armed citizen had not reacted swiftly within the first two minutes of the attacker's shot. Dickens' name was revealed by authorities on July 18. Authorities said he was legally in possession of the gun, although it was not allowed to be used in the mall.
On the other hand, Mayor of Greenwood Mark Myers confirmed that
4 people were killed on the spot, including two injured, one of whom was a
12-year-old girl with minor injuries and one was a shooter. He also revealed
the names of the dead, including several: Pedro Pineda (56), Rosa Mirian Rivera
de Pineda (37), and Victor Gomez (30).
Elisjsha Dicken said the gunman came out of the restroom and
started killing guests or customers who were eating dinner at restaurant
tables. Police Chief Ison confirmed at a conference on July 18, 2022, that
Sapirman was 20 years old and entered the mall through the food court entrance
at 4:54 PM. He went straight to the food court restroom and later came out of
the restroom in 1 hour and 2 minutes. After Superman got out of the toilet, he
started killing and shooting in the food court. He shot Gomez's victim in front
of the restroom and later aimed his gun at marital pain as he ate dinner at
the table.
He then fired a pistol at a 22-year-old woman who is now
recovering from injuring her leg in the hospital. Then he fired a pistol, which
ricocheted off the wall, hitting a 12-year-old girl. She was slightly injured
and is currently being treated in the hospital. The shooter then stopped at 17:57,
after Dicken started shooting. Dicken was armed with a pistol and fought
Sapirman outside the restroom in the food court.
Boss Ison said the authorities were grateful to 22-year-old
Dicken, who ended the violence and later revealed his name to authorities. The
young man is now referred to as Greenwood's Good Samaritan - who acted in
seconds, stopping the shooter and saving countless lives. On the other hand,
the police confiscated 24 rounds fired by the shooter and 10 rounds fired by
Dicken. Chief Ison expressed his appreciation for Dicken's heroic actions and
efforts.
The shooter Jonathan Sapirman is said to have lived alone but
belonged to a very disturbing family. There was a dispute between his mother
and his older brother Justin Sapirman about custody of him as Jonathan was a
minor, i.e. 16 years old, and the case is still pending in court. In addition,
Jonathan Sapirman was allowed to study at the school, from which he was later
suspended for assaulting a student and later escaping from a youth center.
It is known that he had argued with a student at his school in
the past, and the incident was taken to a juvenile detention center on his
behalf. Jonathan Sapirman also lived alone in his apartment. His cell phone was
found in a mall bathroom, completely broken. Authorities also found his laptop
in an oven in his house and a can of butane and analyzed the items to be
completely damaged.
