Gisele Barreto Fetterman is a Brazilian-American philanthropist, activist, and non-profit director. She has grown into a leader helping people all over the world find food and shelter. She is the founder of the non-profit Freestore 15104 and co-founder of two other non-profit organizations called "For Good Pgh" and "412 Food Rescue". Gisele is famous for being the wife of Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman and therefore the current Second Lady of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth. She was an immigrant in her early years when she came to the United States and had to struggle for a livelihood because she was an undocumented immigrant.

Gisele was born on February 27, 1982, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and grew up with her mother and younger brother. Both children moved with their mother to the United States when Gisele was only 7 years old, arriving in the country as undocumented immigrants.
Initially, after immigration to the United States from
Brazil, the family lived in a one-room apartment in New York, where the
children began to learn English while the mother began working as a cleaner in
hotels and homes.
After 15 years in the shadows, Gisele was eligible for a
green card in 2004, and later became a US citizen in 2009.
Because they were undocumented immigrants, the family
occasionally had to endure trying times and go without food.
Gisele's mother, who has a Ph.D. She received a scholarship
from the University of Brazil and worked as a nutritionist and educator, had to
work as a cleaner, and had to do odd jobs in homes and hotels. Even her mother frequently refused to pay fees due to her undocumented immigrant status.
Gisele, who was fluent in English upon her arrival in the
United States, enrolled in a second language program at her school in Queens.
The family later moved to Newark, NJ, and on the other hand, Gisele began
studying at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
Gisele Barreto Fetterman has dedicated her life primarily
to helping others, focusing on meeting nutritional needs, food, justice, and
meeting people's basic needs. With an empty shipping container and an open lot
at her disposal, she opened a free business to help others get household goods,
children's supplies, and bicycles for those in need.
Consequently, she founded a nonprofit called 412 Food
Rescue that helps volunteers reach vendors who have enough food to ship to a
nonprofit and serve hungry people. Even so, she is also a co-founder of another
non-profit organization called For Good PGH, which has spawned many initiatives
including Hello Hijab.
She is also the founder of The Hollander Project, an
organization that helps women become entrepreneurs and become independent.
Gisele opened the swimming pool at the lieutenant
governor's mansion with her husband, and would normally open it to children who
would not have access to it. She has spoken out on a variety of topics and has
shown her participation in various events, including lunch at YOUR HOUR, and HER
POWER at the Westmoreland Club on International Women's Day.
Once Gisele wrote a letter to John asking about Braddock,
which became their first official meeting. After three years, the couple
changed their marriage rituals in 2008. Today, the couple John and Gisele have
been living in Braddock for 13 years with three conceived children, namely
Karl, Gracie, and August, and a rescue dog named Levi.

support of her husband who is the governor.
