film actor, and theater and television actor. He appeared in various stage
productions, television, and film roles, and was known for playing the architect
Miles Harding in the movie Electric Dreams. He has also worked in television

Peaks and the spin-off Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.

Von Dohlen was born on December 22, 1958, which
gives him 64 years from 2022 (before his death). He was born in Augusta,
Georgia, and raised in Goliad, a small town in southern Texas. His parents were
of German descent. From childhood, he wanted to become a jockey and he was
brought up with the same dream all his life. He went to the University of Texas
and studied theater, and was also a graduate of Loretto Heights College in
Denver, Colorado.
From his hometown, he moved to New York and
began his career on the stage. He once said in an interview that he moved to
New York in the hope of performing on stage. So he got rid of his Texas accents
and started listening to John Gielgud's records. He went to New York and the
first film he was offered to play was the leader of a country and western band

Oscar-winning film "Tender Mercies," and starred opposite Robert Duvall

Twin Peaks, which aired on ABC. In tribute to Twin Peaks, he also appeared on
the USA Network show called Psych and was instrumental in an episode of Dual
Spiers with a joint cast and reunion including Sheryl Lee. He has had the most
prominent roles in various television series including The Equalizer; Tales
from the Dark Side; Miami Vice, Picket Fences (where he played the role of the
gay character brother Marlee Matlin (1992)), The Pretender (1999), Walker,
Texas Ranger (1996) and Chicago Hope (1999).
Despite a thriving television and film career,
Von Dohlen has also worked in some theater programs, including New York City
productions Asian Shade, The Team, Twister, Vanishing Act, and The Maserati. He
worked for 9 months in one of the Caryl Churchill plays, Cloud 9, directed by
Tommy Tune, and then another role in the most-watched theater play "Desire
Under the Elms," where he worked with Kathy Baker.

James Still, an award-winning playwright who graduated from the University of
Kansas and grew up in Los Angeles. On July 8, James posted one of his photos with

suggesting that both partners were involved in a romantic relationship and were

Von was once married to Marina Drujko, with whom he maintained his relationship
from 2007 to 2008.
Lenny Von Dohlen died on July 5, 2022, and the
news of his death was announced by his sister Catherine on Facebook three days
later. Von left behind an only daughter, Hazel, and his longtime partner James
Still, who is a famous playwright. The immediate cause of Von's death has not
been disclosed by anyone in his family.
