childhood in Iran. Her family moved to Paris during the Islamic Revolution and
then to New York City when she was a teenager. She holds dual degrees in
political science and philosophy from Binghamton University in upstate New York

Nilou started her career in 2000 and has managed various titles

an Associate Editor and quickly became a food editor and eventually director of
functions and senior correspondent. For 14 years she has managed culinary and
restaurant relations for Travel + Leisure magazine. Nilou is a chef and Emmy
Award-winning TV presenter who co-created CNN's Travel + Leisure special "Eat
Like a Local", combining print, digital, social, and broadcasting on a
global food platform.
With a diverse career and experience, she traveled the world,
immersing herself in countless cultures and people. Her commitment to
developing the guest experience anywhere prompts her to choose Conrad as her
dream company. He is the voice and vision of the New York Times Epicurious Food
