Suella Braverman, in full, Sue-Ellen Cassiana "Suella" Braverman is a British politician and advocate and has served as Attorney General for England and Wales as of 2020. She also served as a Member of Parliament (MP) in Fareham since 2015. She is a member of the Conservative party and chaired the European Research Group (ERG) from June 19, 2017, to January 9, 2018. Faced with the immediate resignation of Boris Johnson due to tensions in British politics, Suella is perhaps one of the best contenders to replace him as Britain's next Prime Minister.

Suella Braverman and her parents are Christie and Uma
Fernandes, both of whom had Indian ancestry and later settled in Britain in
1960 from Kenya and Mauritius. Her mother was a working woman who served as a
nurse and counselor in Brent. Her father is a Goa ancestor in South India and
worked for a housing association in his time. Suella was born in Harrow,
Greater London, and later grew up in Wembley.
Braverman went to Uxendon Manor Elementary School in Brent
and received a partial scholarship that led her to Heathfield School in Pinner.
While still a student, she chaired the Conservative Society of the University
of Cambridge. She lived in France for two years and stayed there as an Erasmus
student, then received an Entente Cordiale Scholar, and then traveled towards a
master's in European and French Law at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
In the 2005 general election, Braverman took office and
challenged Leicester East for second place. She also ran for elections to the
London Assembly in the elections to Assembly in 2012, where she was placed
4th on the Conservative London list.
Braverman was appointed Fareham MP in 2015 after winning
56.1% of the vote with a majority of 22,262. She delivered her maiden speech
and immediately took command of education, home affairs, and justice, and wrote
numerous articles for media companies such as The Daily Telegraph, Bright Blue,
i-News, HuffPost, Brexit Central, and ConservativeHome. From 2015 to 2017,
Braverman was a member of the Education Committee.
From November 2015 to February 2016, she was appointed a
member of the Joint Commission for the Investigation of the Force Act. At the
time of the changes in January 2018, Braverman served as Parliamentary
Undersecretary of State, which she resigned on November 15, 2018, the same day
Davis's successor Dominic Raab resigned from his post of Brexit secretary
against the protest against the Brexit project Theresa May and Olly Robbins,
which was finalized the day before his resignation.
On February 13, 2020, Braverman was appointed Attorney
General for England and Wales and Advocate General for Northern Ireland
following Geoffrey Cox's removal from the government. Upon reaching the post,
Braverman became the second female attorney general and the first conservative

association and blamed for the wrong role choice.
Suella Braverman is married to Rael Braverman, who holds the
office of the House of Commons. The couple exchanged marriage rituals in
February 2018. The first child was born in 2019 and the second was born in
2021.
