Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. He was born to actress Lee Robinson and
actor Richard Pettyfer. The couple later divorced and he grew up with his
mother, stepfather, and younger half-brother James Ireland in Esher and later in
Windsor, Berkshire. It can be said that from his school days he leaned towards
acting because he often performed in theatrical plays.
