Mika Brzezinski is an American journalist. She is a talented talk-show host, author, and political commentator. She is an active co-host of MSNBC's morning show called Morning Joe. Previously, she was a CBS correspondent and was considered a "zero zone" reporter as she was the main correspondent for the live broadcast of the 9/11 attacks. Mika is a fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics, where she is often involved in issues such as equal pay for women. Still, she is the author of three books, two based on her journalistic career and one on food addiction.

Her father's name is Zbigniew Brzezinski,
a foreign policy expert, and former national security adviser, and her mother is
Emilie Anna Benešová, a Swiss-born sculptor of Czech origin.
Miki's father worked as a teacher at Columbia University when
she was born, and the family later moved to McLean, Virginia in late 1976 after
her father was appointed a national security adviser by newly elected President
Jimmy Carter.
Mika grew up with her brother Mark, who is an American diplomat
and has recently served as the US ambassador to Poland. Mika's second brother
works as a military expert and his name is Ian Brzezinski.
She attended Madeira School and later Georgetown University,
where she continued her education for two years, and then moved to Williams
College, where in 1989 she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
Mika started her professional life working as a job assistant at ABC World News in 1990. In 1991, she moved to Hartford, Connecticut, and joined the WTIC-TV / WTIC-DT affiliate of Fuchs.
She joined the channel as a projects and features editor, where she was later promoted to general assignments reporter. Later in 1992, Mika left Fox to join CBS affiliate "WFSB-TV" / "WFSB-DT", where she was promoted to become the morning presenter in 1995.

In September 2001, Mika returned as a CBS News correspondent and began covering the South Tower collapse live. She has worked with CBS as a correspondent, presenter, and host of Breaking News, programs such as Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes.
Mika returned to MSNBC on January 26, 2007, and began appearing
on a show titled "Up to the Minute" and hosting weekly prime-time
newsbreaks. She occasionally started reporting for NBC Nightly News and hosted
Weekend Today before co-hosting with Joe Scarborough as co-host of Morning Joe.
Mika Brzezinski first married James Patrick Hoffer in 1993, who was a TV news reporter and is now part of WABC-TV. The couple met on the WTIC-TV media channel. They have two daughters named Emilie and Carlie Hoffer. Due to rumors of an affair between Mika and Joe, the two split up and eventually divorced in 2016.
Later, in early 2017, Mika got engaged to her co-host Joe and
they finally got married in Washington in 2018.
