Erin was born on July 22, 1998, in Rochester, a city on Lake Ontario, New York. Both her mother Casey Callanan and her father Karen Smith Callanan were attorneys when she was born. She belongs to a republican family and at a young age, she came into contact with politics. Erin helped her grandfather Gary E. Smith campaign to become a judge of the city court by marching in a local parade and decorating T-shirts.
Erin was bought out with three siblings - Megan Callanan Lasaponara and Christine "Chris" Hickey (sisters) and Eamon Eric Callanan (brother). However, she lost her brother when he was only 28 to an opioid-related overdose. Erin never revealed anything about her school life or her name in high school, but she was a diligent girl. Erin married the love of her life, Nicholas Perrine, on July 2, 2016, at St. Matthew in downtown Washington. She met him on the campaign trail in Wisconsin, where they both worked for Ron Johnson's 2010 Senate campaign and began dating in 2013. The couple has no children yet and lives happily in Virginia, United States.
